Welcome Note: Hello! Welcome to our new website. We are deeply indebted to a young man in our congregation that has been instrumental on getting our website up and running again. It wouldn’t have happened without his continuing help and assistance. If you’re anything like me, I know absolutely nothing about creating and maintaining an Internet website. J Nor am I interested in learning how to at my age. Come on in. Look around. If you have any questions concerning anything you see or read, don’t hesitate to email us. Pastor’s Bio I’ve been asked to prepare a biography of myself for use on our website. I think I can adequately do that in one simple sentence. I’m just a sinner saved by God’s amazing grace. If you’re looking for a church that has a “Seminary trained” or formally educated pastor, I’m afraid you’re going to be very disappointed in me. I haven’t had any seminary or theological training whatsoever. I don’t have any initials before my name, nor do I have any letters after it. I’m a high school graduate that has sat at the feet of Jesus, learning and being taught by Him, for the past 34 years. I honestly believe my lack of higher education hasn’t hindered me at all in my service and ministry for my beloved Lord and Savior. He has taught me, and continues to teach me, all that I need to do the work He has given me to do. I rely upon Him, not a formal education, to enable me to successfully accomplish the daily responsibilities of pastor, preacher, and teacher. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in 1974 at the age of 27. I was called by God into the preaching ministry approximately a year and a half later, in 1976. I’ve pastored two churches since I entered the ministry. At present time, I’ve been the pastor of Landmark Baptist Church for the past twenty years. I thank God that He has allowed me the opportunity to serve such wonderful and loving people as those who attend Landmark. May God bless them for continuing to put up with me over that many years. If you’re looking for a church whose members are sincerely in love with Jesus and they enjoy getting together and worshiping God, give Landmark a try. Who knows, you just might find yourself right at home!
